Preparing for Ramadan
This program offers the tourists to experience the local foods and customs such as Ramadan. The Ramadan comes every ninth month of the lunar calender. This is an important event because it is time for the local people to show their spiritual devotions and also time for family or friends gathering. Tourists will be given the chance to wear local clothing, eat local food, and socialize with the local people.
The tourists will also be given the opportunity to canoe on the river. Canoes are not widely used now days as a method of transportation. However, the people living along the Euphrates River use canoes as their primary transportation because canoeing is an easier method to travel from one side of the river to the other, as well as up and down the river compared to other transportations such as cars.
